They Holiday Season is officially upon us once again, which means, family dinners and get togethers, work holiday parties and the festivities in between. All which require the appropriate festive attire. Many will opt for the classic reds, greens or jewel tones for the for the holidays all of which are appropriate and easy to find especially for the last minute shoppers. Then there are those who need or want to put a little more flair into their style this season here are a few options:

Tartan Plaids

 

I love, love tartan print plaid! As soon as I see it I sense the holidays are on the way and I instantly start to pull all of my prints out so I can start the festivities. You can pick something simple as a headband or a dress but however much tartan you decide to don, just

know that it will look fabulous in photos and instantly ready for the festivities. My particular favourite tartan pieces this season are the turban  head bands from Ann Taylor and J.Crew.

 

Sparkles

Yes, Sparkle is a colour and I love it! For mi Sparkle is the ultimate celebration attire. The secret to sparkles is the fit. Do size up, no matter if it is a shoe or a dress. The very pattern of full sequin garments are designed to be more fitted and can be limited with movement. Plan to layer your sequin garment, if it doesn’t come lined. It can be irritating to the skin if you don’t line your sequined pieces. Limit the number of  sequined items you pair with your ensemble, too much sequins can be blinding.

Winter White

Winter white looks are so elegant especially with embellishments of pearls or feathers. With whites you need to size up as well.

Different brands, fits and fabrics all fit differently, invest your time and your money in choosing your winter white carefully so your looks is festive, classic and chic.
